QUEZON CITY — Miriam College and C&E Publishing, Inc. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on April 15, 2026 at the Art Gallery, Mother Mary Joseph Hall, Miriam College to develop short courses and micro-credentials.
Micro-credentials are short, focused learning programs that equip learners with specific, job-relevant skills.
The partnership supports the development of flexible learning pathways that respond to evolving academic and industry requirements. It brings together Miriam College’s academic expertise and C&E Publishing’s capabilities in educational content development and platform-enabled delivery.
Under the five-year agreement, Miriam College will engage its faculty in developing and implementing these programs, expanding its learning offerings through flexible, technology-enabled formats. C&E Publishing, Inc., as an academic solutions provider, will provide the necessary support for course development, delivery, and deployment.
Signatories to the MoU were Dr. Maria Regina Lucia M. Lizares, President of Miriam College; and John Emyl G. Eugenio, Chief Executive Officer of C&E Publishing, Inc. Witnesses to the signing were Dr. Trixie Marie J. Sison, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Miriam College, and Gerric Gomez, Vice President for Business Development and Growth Markets at C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions.
“Higher education is moving toward more flexible, skills-based learning models, and institutions need the right support systems to respond effectively,” said Eugenio. “This collaboration with Miriam College builds on its academic strengths while expanding delivery in ways that are scalable, relevant, and responsive to changing learner and industry needs.”
Gomez added that the partnership strengthens efforts to deliver targeted and flexible learning solutions. “Micro-credentials provide a way for learners to build competencies that matter in real-world settings. Through this initiative, we aim to support institutions in expanding their offerings while maintaining academic quality and relevance,” he said.
