In a MOA signing ceremony held last August 25 at the C&E Information Resource Center in Quezon City, C&E Publishing and PAARL laid out the printing and distribution agreements for PAARL’s upcoming coffee table book titled “Reflections in Time: Celebrating 50 Years of PAARL.”
Written by authors Maribel A. Estepa, Michael Anthony A. Mojica, and Corazon M. Nera, the book pays tribute to the founding pillars of the association and those who have shaped its history. It includes comprehensive documentation of the organization of professional librarians, detailing its unique history while also celebrating its legacy. The book is filled with historical information, photographs, anecdotes, and memories that serve as a tribute to the past with inclusions of PAARL’s vision for the future.
Aside from the authors, also present at the event were C&E ALS Chief Operations Officer John Emyl Eugenio, C&E ALS Senior Vice President Mary Anne Eugenio, and PAARL Vice President Raymond Mijares.
As an industry partner, C&E Publishing wholeheartedly supports PAARL’s initiatives. The collaboration between C&E Publishing and PAARL showcases the shared commitment to preserving the rich history of librarianship in the Philippines while also looking towards the future of library services and resources. This book will undoubtedly be a valuable resource for librarians, researchers, and anyone interested in the practice.
“Reflections in Time: Celebrating 50 Years of PAARL” is set to be launched on September 19, 2023, during the grand celebration of PAARL’s Golden Jubilee.
