Educators from across the country wrapped up another round of upskilling and digital transformation through the third cohort of the MasterCourse in the Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence in Education, a five-week professional development program offered by the University of Santo Tomas (UST). The course, spearheaded by UST EdTech and the Center for Continuing Professional Education and Development (CCPED), officially concluded on July 26, 2025.
C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions (C&E ALS) proudly supported this initiative through its Continuous Learning Sponsorship program, upholding our commitment to empowering Filipino educators in a fast-changing educational landscape.
Held from June 27 to July 26, the course brought together participants for 54 hours of synchronous and asynchronous learning sessions delivered online via the UST Cloud Campus and Zoom. Educators were trained to critically engage with AI tools, understand ethical and responsible AI integration, and develop AI-enhanced learning plans and assessments. The program also granted 15 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and is recognized by the Civil Service Commission.
“This course helped me shift from simply using AI tools to understanding and evaluating them—so I can integrate technology into education ethically, effectively, and with purpose,” shared Ronnel C. Delos Santos, Program Chairperson at Pampanga State University and one of the course completers.
As a long-time partner of educational institutions nationwide, we at C&E ALS continue to support the professional development of teachers through programs that respond to real-world classroom needs.
