C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions (C&E ALS), in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP), DOST National Capital Region (NCR), and the Department of Education (DepEd) Muntinlupa, successfully completed its C&E Pilot Test Program on August 2, 2024, at the C&E Information and Resource Center in Quezon City. The program aimed to enhance readership among elementary students and support the implementation of DepEd’s MATATAG Curriculum.
Boosting Readership and Digital Literacy
The C&E Pilot Program provided selected schools in Muntinlupa with two months of free access to the digital reading platform myON and the interactive learning tool Nearpod. This initiative sought to create a digital learning environment aligned with MATATAG’s objectives and address the challenge of low readership among Filipino children.
Key Partnerships and Participation
Five schools in Muntinlupa, nominated by the DOST, participated in the pilot program. These schools included Sucat Elementary School, Putatan Elementary School, Poblacion National High School, Muntinlupa Business High School, and Cupang Senior High School. One class per key stage was selected to participate, ensuring focused support and detailed analysis.
Recognizing Innovative Teaching
The program culminated with the recognition of five teachers from the participating schools. Donna Jill Ledesma from Sucat Elementary School, Divina Abana and Joy Ann Manuel from Putatan Elementary School, Jenny Buhat from Poblacion National High School, and Harry Venz Chavez from Muntinlupa Business High School were honored. C&E ALS acknowledged the educators by awarding them the Most Innovative Teaching Award for their creative and effective use of myON and Nearpod in teaching.
Informing Future Initiatives
As a beacon of modern knowledge and the only comprehensive learning and research solutions provider in the Philippines, C&E ALS remains committed to guiding educators, administrators, and learners through changing times and technologies to create better learning environments. The data and insights gathered from the C&E Pilot Test Program will inform future initiatives to improve the quality of education in the Philippines and support the objectives of the MATATAG Curriculum, ultimately aiming to produce job-ready, active, and responsible citizens.
