MANILA, February 11—Mapúa University, a pioneer in tech-enhanced education, has introduced a new learning technology in one of its classrooms. This co-investment initiative was made possible through Cengage, in collaboration with C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions (C& ALS) and ClassIn. Its goal is to modernize teaching and enhance interactive learning.

The technology, launched at Mapúa’s campus in Manila, aims to provide students with a more engaging and technology-driven educational experience.

Gone are the days of static chalk-and-talk lessons. The newly equipped classroom features a ClassIn-powered interactive flat panel, enabling real-time collaboration, seamless classroom integration, and multimedia lessons via videos, images, and simulations to enhance student engagement. Technology now powers a higher standard of education, shaping a new caliber of learners—more adaptive and prepared for the evolving needs of the modern world.

This initiative is a key component of Mapúa University’s co-investment partnership with global education company Cengage, reflecting the university’s commitment to harnessing technology for better education quality and accessibility.

C&E ALS, the leading provider of comprehensive educational solutions in the country, supplied and implemented the interactive flat panel technology, ensuring faculty and students can maximize its potential for improved learning outcomes. As an official distribution partner of
Cengage and ClassIn, and Mapúa’s trusted solutions partner for over 20 years, C&E ALS continues to drive innovation in education, reinforcing its commitment to transformative, technology-driven learning experiences.

C&E ALS, a key solutions partner of the Mapúa system, supports the institution from basic to higher education with a range of learning solutions, including print references, digital learning resources, and edtech tools like the ClassIn interactive flat panel and Cengage’s trusted online resources.

“Technology has become an indispensable tool in education, and now more than ever, it plays a crucial role in shaping how students learn and engage with information. By integrating this kind of technology, we are not just enhancing classrooms—we are equipping educators and students with the resources they need to thrive in a digital-first world,” said C&E ALS Chief Operating Officer John Emyl Eugenio.

Cengage representative Grace de Guzman highlighted Mapúa’s longstanding commitment to innovation in education and its proactive integration of technology into learning. “Their vision aligns with our mission at Cengage—to support educators with tools that enhance student engagement and understanding,” she said.

The launch event brought together educators and key stakeholders to explore the benefits of tech-enhanced teaching. This development is expected to inspire further adoption of digital tools for the Mapúa system and other classrooms nationwide.
